It's Been a Great Year!

First off, I want to wish everyone a save and merry Christmas, happy holidays and a prosperous new year! 2008 was an extremely busy year for us between the birth of my baby girl and the growth of this business. While a busy year, it also turned out to be one of my most fulfilling. Nothing compares to the joy of having children and I am truly grateful for that. The "birth" of my new store has also been a welcoming experience and I am once again thankful to all those that helped make it a possibility...especially my wonderful wife.

Here is a quick recap of what was accomplished in 2008:
• We finally moved to a "real" retail front!
• We joined forces with South Texas Kayak to offer guided trips
• Team Lakeline Watersports was formed and won some kayak fishing tournaments!
• We added Flatstalker, NuCanoe, Freedom Hawk, Emotion and StreamCraft to our boat lineup along with a variety of accessories
• We joined forces with Austin Kayak Fishing as a sponsor for the 2008 KATS tournament

So what's next? As always, we have a lot under our sleeves. I don't want to give away all of our plans but here are some things you can expect in 2009:

• Regular hours - EVERYDAY! Yes, our #1 goal in 2009 is to have some set hours everyday of the week (not just Friday and Saturday).
• Receive our first shipment of small boats by Gheenoe and a few models by KL Industries
• Continue to expand our accessory line with a variety of brands
• Set up demo days on a quarterly basis
• Continue the publication and distribution of Austin Paddler
• Expand our Native Owner's Group website with new features and resources
• Enhance our website to offer a better shopping experience
• Continue to sponsor a variety of tournaments
• Host a variety of events (more on this later)
• Hire some help!

Geez, and I thought 2008 was a busy year...I better get back to work.

Cheers,
Roland "Bones" Jimenez
