2008 Redfish Roundup

As I prepare to move into my new store location (more on this later), I decided that taking a couple of weekends off to enjoy myself would be a great idea. In early October, I joined the Austin Kayak Fishing group for their annual "Redfish Roundup". Home base was at Goose Island State Park near Rockport, Texas but we hit several areas including Estes Flats, Rattlesnake Point and of course, Lighthouse Lakes. My fishing report is nothing to write home about but we still had a great time. It was a pleasure fishing with several of my customers and meeting so many of the folks I talk to via private messages and through discussion boards. I thought it was funny that when folks would meet, we would follow their real name with their online handle. A great time indeed and I look forward to doing this again. Here are a few photos that I took: Click to view gallery.

Congrats to all of you and many thanks to Dennis Hermes (pictured in the right) for putting this event together. It was an honor being a sponsor and I look forward to the 2009 KATS!
In addition to the formation of Team Lakeline Watersports, I am also excited to announce that Lakeline Watersports was asked to sponsor this years KATS (Kayak Angler Tournament Series)!
